Hi. I'm Gill and I'm the founder of the Pamela Rose Driving Academy.
I named my driving school after my late mother, who was an incredibly strong and kind woman, and I simply couldn't imagine any other name more fitting for a driving school aimed predominantly towards empowering females to take ownership of their dreams and achieve their goals.
My roots are firmly planted within the driving industry. In my twenties I served for almost 10 years in the West Glamorgan Ambulance Service where I was awarded the prestigious title of 'Ambulance Driver of the Year' for my driving skills and abilities. I later served in the British Army with the Royal Logistic Corps and gained various instructor qualifications. I have driven all types of vehicles right up to articulated lorries over all types of terrain and loved every minute of it. I have certainly raised some eyebrows along the way - especially seeing that I'm only just over 5ft tall! I did it - and so can you!
Instructing has always been my greatest passion and I get an immense sense of achievement when I see a pupil grow in confidence and tackle the wheel with a huge smile on their face.
I specialise in helping very nervous pupils learn to drive. Many of my past pupils have come to me after many failed attempts at learning to drive due to anxiety, and have finally achieved something that they thought they would never do - get behind the wheel and pass that driving test!
My last DVSA Standards Check was September 2019 and I was awarded a Grade 'A' scoring 47 out of a possible 51 points, so you know you'll be in very safe hands.
Interested to see how I can help you learn to drive and achieve your goals? Then get in touch, drop me a line. I very much look forward to meeting you!
